Welcome to Lyme Boats Limited

- Warranty Request Form -

What you need to know and what you need to do!

Firstly, please note:

  1. Warranty issues should not be discussed on the telephone without previously completing the online claim form. This is to ensure that we have a written record of all claims.
  2. Correspondence should be done in writing, either by post, fax or email. This ensures that all correspondence is documented and kept on file.
  3. We cannot process ANY warranty claims without the on line claim form being completed.
  4. If your boat is new then please refer to the warranty code on the original invoice.
  5. If your boat is used, Lyme Boats covers the engine and drive against major mechanical failure in the first 3 months. The warranty on a used vessel does not cover any electrical or navigation items. This cover starts from the date on your invoice, unless otherwise agreed at time of purchase.
  6. If your boat was bought from us on brokerage, then you have no warranty.
  7. Warranty does not cover serviceable items or wearing parts, i.e. filters, belts prop shafts, props, etc.
  8. If the defect is found to be due to operator fault, then you will be subject to parts and labour charge.
  9. All warranty work must be instructed by Lyme Boats. Lyme Boats will not pay any unauthorised charges.

STEP 1

Fill out the form here and send it to us. On receipt and approval of this we will need you to fax (01460 61030) or post a copy of your original final invoice, and all service history. You can also post us the claim at our usual address. Please keep a note of the claim number so you can keep a check on your claim.

STEP 2

On receipt of the completed form we will assess whether your boat is covered. We may call you to discuss the claim with any questions we/you may have.

STEP 3

We will confirm what is and is not covered and we will then normally either:

  1. Send a technician to the vessel and correct the fault (normally within 31 days)
  2. Ask you to get 2 quotes from local firms to rectify the faults
  3. Ask you to return the boat to our address where we will carry out the repairs

IT IS THE CUSTOMER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO PAY FOR ANY TOWS, LIFTING, STORAGE, MOORINGS AND TRANSPORT TO AND FROM AN AUTHORIZED REPAIR CENTRE.

STEP 4

We will carry out the work. If you have new faults that need to be rectified then a new form will need to be completed.

STEP 5

Please do not forget to attach a copy of your original invoice and all service history when faxing or posting your claim and remember please do not authorise any works without our permission first otherwise we will not be able to settle the invoice.

Please either complete the online form or print out and send the completed form via fax or post.
